I know what you're thinking...

I know what you're thinking. The same thing I would think if I saw someone asking for money on the internet. But before you pass judgement let me explain. I am a young single woman living in South London and yes I'm asking for money. Not for breast implants or a holiday or even for a disabled child with five heads, three toes and a zebra's tail where her left ear should be. You won't die or meet your fate if you don't 'pass this message on', your day will continue as normal. I'm asking for money to genuinely get myself out of a debt that at my age and at this present time in life is crippling me.

I have a four year old son who is the best thing in my world and whilst he never goes hungry, he always has proper clothes and generally has everything he needs, he also has a mother who is driven to distraction by constant demands for money. In total the amount I need to pay off is near enough £13,000. By the time I get around to paying it all off who knows how much the total will be once interest has been added on. I'm not asking for £13,000. Merely the £2000 I need to get rid of one very high interest credit card which is doing most of the damage. Now I'm not going to be asking for money for a debt I accrued shopping. This is a result of several years worth of bad luck incidents where my hand has been forced and probably in part due to my good nature. I study full time doing a law degree so I am far from lazy or some drain on the community. I had my son young but still went far and did my A levels and at the end of this degree hope to continue studying and become a solicitor. I worked up until a month ago. My uni course now requires me to be there 4 days a week and I use the one remaining weekday to catch up on homework. Saturdays are the same and my one day to do housework and then Sunday I am at church. I'm not saying I will never pay off these debts. I just desperately need some assistance to give me a headstart on the interest.

£2000. Not the biggest amount in the world. Any contribution would be great and much appreciated. Think about how many people live in London alone. Just 2000 people contibuting £1 each hits the target and think about it, most of you will spend that many times over just buying coffees or fags in a day. I don't smoke and I don't drink. I haven't been shopping in months and very rarely go out. I have dealt with my creditors as far as they will go and got one to drop interest so that all payments go towards paying off the amount owed on that account (also owing £2000). A step in the right direction...please help me with the next.
